Aquaplanet Allround Ten Paddle Board Review
We are starting with the Aquaplanet Allround Ten paddle board review as it is was our very first board. Chosen after endless research after trying a friends one day at the beach, it has seen many outings on the rivers and coastal areas around the South West of England. We have used it so many times in fact, that we feel we are very well placed to review this product. If you are looking at purchasing your first board, let’s take a look at what makes this a contender:
Who is it for and What Conditions?
The Aquaplanet All Round Ten paddle board is a great all round board for those that want to stand up paddle in rivers, waterways and on calmer waters. While there are those who choose paddle boards for other reasons including yoga, fishing and surfing, this one comes highly recommended for those that weigh up to 180 pounds and are using it solely for SUP.
It is a great first time board that comes with everything you need to get started. The smaller paddler will find it sturdier and nifty. The larger the paddler, the more speed you will lose as more weight stops the board moving so efficiently through the water. For paddlers weighing over 180 the next size up is the Cruise Max which you can find here.
Measurements and weight
Probably one of the more important aspects of our Aquaplanet Allround Ten paddle board review is the specs. So, for those of you that operate in metric and those of you that prefer “old money’ terms, the measurements are as follows:
- Length – 3.05 metres / 10ft
- Width – 76 cms / 30 inches
- Depth – 12 cms / 5 inches
What is the Aquaplanet Allround Ten Best For?
An all round board is designed for beginners who are new to paddle boarding or those that want to use it for SUP on rivers, waterways and calmer waters. It is not designed for bigger waves or sports including fishing which requires a wider board. The Allround Ten is specifically designed for smaller people – children and small adults.
It is stable and manoeuvrable and moves well through the water with the user it is intended for. As it is only 4 inches deep, bear in mind that you will get some dip as it sinks a little into the water.

What Does it Come With
1. Paddle board
A 10ft long, 4 ft deep paddle board constructed of single layer PVC. This single layer approach does not make for the sturdiest of boards but it is ideal for the user that it is designed for – the smaller, lighter paddler. The inner core has been designed in reinforced drop stitch technology which delivers the required rigidity.

2. Adjustable Paddle
In 3 pieces so it can be taken apart and stored inside the carry bag. You can extend to the length that you need. We advise taking it apart after every use. Sometimes, you can leave the top part inside the middle section but it does stiffen when stored wet so always make sure to store the pieces separately.
3. Carry case
This heavy duty rucksack is designed to fit your deflated and rolled up board insider, along with all the other components that the board comes with.
4. Pump
The paddle board pump is a manual plunge pump which takes between 5-10 minutes to inflate the board to 15psi. There is a psi monitor on the top of the pump so that you can see when you have inflated enough. We would advise that you don’t go over 17psi. While it is difficult to burst the board, it is not impossible. Be sure not to under-inflate the board either. Be warned, you are going to build up a sweat before you even get on the water.
5. Leash
It is strongly advised that whenever you go out on the water, you strap the board to yourself using the included ankle leash. If you do come off the board, you won’t lose it and can use it as a buoyancy aid to help you get back on.
6. Dry Bag
The included dry bag can simply be rolled and clipped and slung over your back or kept secure under the bungee ropes at the front of the board. If you live the air inside when you roll the top, it will also float in the water. Please note, it may not be 100% waterproof so we always ensure that our phone and valuables are secured in a watertight case inside.
7. Repair Kit
There is also a handy carry strap should you wish to throw the board over your shoulder instead of carrying it like a backpack.
How it Handles
What you really want from an Aquaplanet Allround Ten paddle board review is to discover how it handles right? What we love about this board – it is lightweight, easy to carry and has everything you need to get started. It is stable and manoeuvrable and makes easy work for those that are new to the world of SUP. It is well designed and constructed and folds away easily into its storage backpack. It is quick and easy to inflate and takes ten minutes to inflate and ten minutes to deflate and pack away.
For those who like to ride rougher waves, or that are more than just a hobby paddle boarder, you may want to look at something bigger and sturdier but for kids, small adults and those that enjoy a leisurely paddle on the rivers and coastal areas, it is perfect. We spent £299 on this board over a year ago and still use it to this day. It has stood up to our regular paddle trips and has proven to wear really well.
